Students of Indian Institute of Technology–Madras (IIT-M) now have the opportunity of doing a semester abroad in one of 11 premier engineering universities in the Asia-Oceania region.

IIT-M was admitted as one of the partners of Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering (AOTULE) in November.

The institute was invited to attend the AOTULE meeting at the University of Melbourne in November as an observer and was unanimously offered membership in the consortium, according to R. Nagarajan, dean, international and alumni relations.

At the two-day event, the deans of member institutions made presentations and discussed student/faculty mobility and engineering curriculum compatibility.
