Tamil Nadu Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation received a haemodialysis instrument, donated by Fresenius Medical Care.
It was installed by Reji Abraham of ABAN Group of Companies at Rekha Memorial Tanker Foundation, Kilpauk. Georgi Abraham, founder trustee, TANKER Foundation, welcomed the gathering and thanked Fresenius Medical Care.
Latha A. Kumaraswami, managing trustee, TANKER Foundation, said that in 20 years the foundation has done more than 1.2 lakh free and subsidised dialysis. At present, the foundation has 32 instruments at its three of its units where nearly 178 patients were availing free and subsidised dialysis. She said that more than 80 per cent of TANKER patients are benefited through the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.
Gaya Gupta, product manager, Fresenius Medical Care, said “It is our lifelong commitment to support end-stage kidney disease (ESRD) patients from all sections of society with quality care.”
Latha Pandiarajan, managing director, Mafoi Strategies, said that even a small assistance rendered in the field of healthcare would immensely benefit the underprivileged.
