Chain-snatchers strike at two places

A couple of chain-snatching cases were reported from St. Thomas Mount police district on Wednesday.

M. Deivamani (45) was walking towards the railway station on Erikarai Street in Perungalathur from her house in Peerkankaranai on Wednesday when a man snatched her eight sovereign gold chain and escaped from the scene. Peerkankaranai police registered a case and investigating.

In another case, Kavitha (32) of Ram Nagar in Puzhuthivakkam was robbed of four sovereign gold chain while she was on her walk. Adambakkam police are investigating.
