Book Minister for erecting illegal banners, says HC

The Madras High Court has directed the State police to register a case and take action in accordance with the law, on the complaints made against Tamil Nadu Minister of Fisheries D. Jayakumar and Additional Advocate-General Sethuraman for allegedly placing digital banners without proper approval.

Justice P.N. Prakash passed the common order on the two separate pleas moved by “Traffic” K.R. Ramaswamy against the Minister and the Additional Advocate-General.

Claiming that the Inspector of Police, Esplanade Police Station, and the Inspector of Royapuram has failed to act upon his complaints, the petitioner sought the intervention of the High Court.
