An athlete, who was arrested on charges of threatening a young woman to post intimate videos online, allegedly confessed to having raped her after giving her soft drink laced with sedatives.
The 22-year-old victim is an MBA student and her father is running a gym. The suspect, Deepak, 22, alias Dany of T.P.Chatram frequented the gym and developed a friendship with her. He took her to a friend’s house, gave her a soft drink laced with sedatives and raped her. He allegedly captured it in his mobile phone.
When the woman refused to marry him, he threatened to upload the video online.
Deepak was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on Sunday.
