The Crime Branch police on Monday informed the Madras High Court that the documents produced by J. Krishnamoorthy claiming to be the biological son of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and late actor Shoban Babu are forged.

Recording the submission, Justice R. Mahadevan directed the police to “secure the petitioner and take action against him in accordance with law.”

The petitioner, Krishnamoorthy, claimed he was born to Jayalalithaa and Shoban Babu on February 15, 1985, in Bengaluru. But later due to a difference of opinion, his parents got separated and he was given up for adoption to a couple in Erode. He submitted a deed of adoption allegedly signed by former CM M.G. Ramachandran as a witness.

Further, he claimed that he faced a threat to his life from AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala and her relatives and sought the court to direct the police authorities to provide him security. On Monday, when the police authorities filed a report confirming that the documents were forged, the judge said, “The petitioner cannot be allowed to play with the court. Secure him and take action in accordance with law.” The plea was then posted to April 10 for filing compliance report.
