An AIADMK member filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking the removal of a line from a song in actor Suriya’s recent release Thaana Serndha Kootam .

The petition was filed by P. Sathish Kumar, secretary of the AIADMK women’s wing, Virugambakkam, against the music director of the movie, Anirudh Ravichander, and Mani Amuthavanan, lyricist of the ‘Sodakku’ song. The petitioner said the line indicates that politicians should be destroyed, beaten and punished.
