Actor Nazriya Nazim on Tuesday approached the Commissioner of Police with a complaint against director Sargunam stating that he has maligned her image by filming an intimate scene in an upcoming movie using a body double.

Police sources said Ms. Nazim had played the lead role in movie ‘Naiyandi’ staring Dhanush, which is scheduled to be released soon. She had objected to an intimate scene with the lead and claiming it was filmed using a body double against her wish and breaching her movie contract.

Director Sargunam said in a press release the song sequence ‘Innikka Innikka,’ shot with Ms. Nizam, required a close-up scene. The actor, when approached, refused to come from Kerala and suggested that the scene could be filmed using a body double. The film has received a U certificate from the Censor Board. Ms. Nizam’s claims are not reasonable, the director added.
