54 projects to be inaugurated on February 5

A total of 54 infrastructure projects of the Chennai Corporation are scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi on February 5. These include the additional road over bridge at Perambur Locoworks, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs.8.41 crore.

In a press release, Mayor M.Subramanian said the projects worth Rs.23 crore would be inaugurated in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister M.K.Stalin. The projects include gymnasiums, playgrounds and noon-meal centres in several areas, abattoir on Alandur Salai, a subway near the Communicable Diseases Hospital in Tondiarpet and the renovated bridge in Adyar. Parks on Nelson Manickam Road-Poonamallee High Road junction and on the north side of Perambur flyover would also be opened, he said.
