Four people, including a couple, died after a van ploughed into a group waiting at Perungalathur bus stop near Tambaram on Grand Southern Trunk in the early hours on Sunday. Two of them died on the spot. The driver is said to have felt drowsy and hence lost control, traffic police said. A group of construction workers, mostly engaged in digging wells, had come to the bus stop early in the morning.
