A 34-year-old woman allegedly killed her daughters and later committed suicide on Thursday night.
The Halasuru police, who have taken up a case in this regard, gave the name of the deceased as Renuka. They said that she hanged her daughters - Nishita (6) and Pavani (10 months) - before committing suicide by hanging herself.
The police said Renuka, who had got married six years ago, was working as a lab technician at Chinmaya Hospital. They said that she was reportedly depressed that her husband had outstanding loans amounting to ₹35 lakh and had no savings for their children.
