With increased fleet, BMTC observes Bus Day today

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is observing its Bus Day on Tuesday, according to a press release.

The press release said that additional services on the day would depend on the demand. BMTC operates 81,736 frequencies with 6,278 buses daily.

Buses will be operated at a high frequency on 12 major corridors: HAL Airport Road (ITPL), Sarjapura Road, Hosur Road, Bannerghatta Road, Kanakapura Road, Mysore Road, Magadi Road, Tumkur Road, Bellary Road, Thanisandra Road, Hennur Road and Old Madras Road.

BMTC introduced 17 new services last month.
