The mixed zoning of Master Plan 2015 that allowed commercial activities on roads as narrow as 40 feet was struck down by the High Court earlier this year. BDA sources said that they were not legally bound to preserve the mixed zoning regulations in the revised master plan. D.S. Rajashekhar, president of Citizens Action Forum, which fought the mixed zoning regulations RMP 2015 in court, said that one of the major shortcomings of RMP 2015 was its failure to predict the growth curve of the city and there was no reason to believe it would be different this time.
