Will Mirji be replaced with Bipin?

Jyothi Prakash Mirji is among the 24 police officials, who are likely to shifted by the Government ahead of the coming elections to the State Assembly

In a major reshuffle of the City Police, the Home Department is likely to replace City Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji with Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Bipin Gopalakrishna.

Mr Mirji is among the 24 police officials, who are likely to shifted by the Government ahead of the coming elections to the State Assembly, official sources told The Hindu.

Additional Commissioner of Bangalore City Police (Law and Order) Suneel Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Bangalore City Police Pronab Mohanty are also expected to be replaced with senior IPS officers Kamal Pant and Soumendu Mukherjee.

Informed sources said the orders are expected to issued by Saturday evening.
