Two women murdered

Two women including a 28-year-old home-maker were found murdered allegedly by their husbands in the city on Monday.

A 34-year-old garment factory employee was smothered to death by her husband in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Monday night. Alert neighbours caught the accused, identified as Basha, while he was trying to flee and handed him over to the police.

According to the police Basha, a wall painter by profession, used to fight with her frequently. On Monday the couple had a fight following which he allegedly smothered her to death using a pillow. The R.R. Nagar police are investigating.

In another incident, 28-year-old Urmila was stabbed to death by her husband, Sanjay, in Subrahmanyapura on Monday night. The police have detained Sanjay for further investigation.
