Two Nigerians held for drug peddling

The Central Crime Branch officials arrested two Nigerian nationals and recovered 105 grams of cocaine worth Rs 5.2 lakh from them.

The accused Kenneth Jideofor (25) and Obumneme Victor (27) were caught red handed while they were waiting for their clients near Anandapura circle in K.R. Puram on Friday.

The accused confessed that the duo had come to India on business visa and were overstaying in the city after their visa expired in March this year.

The accused said that they sourced cocaine from their contacts and were selling it to college students and others for Rs 5,000 per gram.

The accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act and remanded to judicial custody.
