Two motorcycle riders die in mishap

Two men were killed when the two-wheeler they were riding collided with a towing vehicle on the road near Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Monday night.

The deceased have been identified as Mahaboob Ali (26), native of Kurnool, and Abhilash K.V. (24), native of Madikeri. Both were employees of Lotus House in KIAL. The incident took place around 11 p.m. The duo was heading home after work. Mahaboob, who was riding his Pulsar bike, failed to notice the towing vehicle and rammed into it, sustaining head injuries. The duo was shifted to Pro-Life hospital in Yelahanka where the doctors declared both as brought dead.

Initial investigations revealed that the two were not wearing helmets when the incident took place. Devanahalli traffic police have registered a case.
