Two persons riding a two-wheeler were killed in an accident at Tadigol Cross under Gownipalli police limits in Srinivasapur taluk on Monday evening.
The police gave the names of the deceased as Venkataramanappa (65) and Vinod (12).
The accident occurred when a car that a private bus rammed from behind collided with the two-wheeler, which was coming from the opposite direction, they said. While the bus and car were proceeding towards Madanapalli in Andhra Pradesh, the two-wheeler was coming from Tadigol. The police said that Venkataramanappa was reportedly dropping off Vinod to his village when the accident occurred.
Drivers of both the car and private bus are said to be absconding. Gownipalli police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
