Trio posing as policemen rob two persons

Three men posing as police personnel searched the house of two managers of a supermarket chain and stole valuables on Saturday night.

According to the complainants Ravishankar and Sahan, three men posing as police personnel came to their house at Mallige Layout in Sanjay Nagar police limits and told them that they had received information about counterfeit currency being printed in their house.

Then they searched the house during which time they stole gold rings and chains along with mobile phones and cash.

The two men filed a complaint with the Sanjay Nagar.

Accidental death

A contract worker with Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) died after she accidentally tripped from the stairs of her her second floor apartment in K.R. Puram on Saturday night.

The deceased, Vidya (24), had washed clothes late in the evening. When she was climbing up the stairs to put the clothes on the clothesline, she slipped and fell down. She was injured and rushed to hospital. But she succumbed to injuries on Sunday.
