Trees uprooted in sudden Bengaluru rain

Over 20 trees were reported to have been uprooted in Ulsoor, Bengaluru.

As has become a norm over the past week, the evening rush of traffic was accompanied by sudden gusts of wind and rain that put the city out of gear.

Though the Indian Meteorological Department notes that just 5 mm of rain was recorded in the city in the evening, the accompanying wind uprooted numerous trees in the city.

Over 20 trees were reported to have been uprooted in Ulsoor, while, tree fall was reported at Brunton road, Lavalle Road, Halasuru- Gangadhara Shetty Road, Banaswadi-CMR Road, Koramangala 1st block, Sony world junction Inner ring Road, Krupanidhi College Jn-Koramangala, Makkala Kuta-Chamarajpet, Movinapura, Aravinda Circle-Jayanagara, 5th main, 35th main - Jayanagara and Banashankri bus stop.
