A couple and their seven-year-old son on a two-wheeler were killed after they came under the wheels of a speeding truck on Hosur Main Road on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Khaleel (34), a cloth merchant and his wife Sultana (28) and their son Abdul Syed (7), who were residents of Ramachandrpura in Srirampura. They were going to meet Khaleel’s parents in Madiwala.
According to the police, Khaleel and his wife Sultana were wearing helmet, but their son was. Khaleel was also carrying two bags on the two-wheeler. The speeding truck hit them when they were taking turn near Hosur Road near St.John’s hospital. Syed died on spot, while Khaleel and Sulatana were shifted to St.John’s hospital, but were declared brought dead. The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
The Madiwala traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
