It was a power-packed weekend in the city, literally, as German car manufacturer Audi showcased some of the best performance cars in its stable on Saturday, giving prospective buyers and car enthusiasts a chance to get a feel of the speed machines.
Drivers revved their engines, even as instructions were relayed to them via radios, and zipped along an unused part of the Bangalore–Mysore Infrastructure Corridor.
Part of the Audi Sportscar Experience, the event featured the Audi S6, Audi RS5, Audi TT and Audi S4.
Instructors trained drivers in postures and handling.
“The braking in S6 is amazing,” said Varun, after driving the vehicle, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 second.
The red Audi R8 (V10 Plus) stole the show, with visitors eager to be photographed with this sports car that accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
“Audi Sportscar Experience focusses on superlative driving techniques and handling techniques in sportscars,” Joe King, head of Audi India, said in a release.
