A 28-year-old software engineer was found hanging at his residence in Sampigehalli on Friday.

The deceased Manjunath was married to Saritha four years ago. The couple had a two-year-old child and lived in a rented house.

The police said that Manjunath committed suicide when his wife had gone to temple along with the child at around 6.30 p.m. When she returned, she found him hanging from the ceiling.

Inquiries by the Malleshwaram police revealed that Manjunath was working with multi-national company. He had quit his job two years ago to start his own venture. He had borrowed heavily and had to shut down the company after incurring losses.

Police suspect this to be the reason behind his extreme step and are investigating further.
