SmartCamp contest

Global technology firm IBM has announced its SmartCamp contest in Bangalore, slated to be held on April 27. The initiative will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and experienced mentors with innovative ideas that can help build a “smarter planet”, a release from the firm stated. Gaming gets faster

Global semiconductor design firm AMD announced the launch of what is being touted as the fastest graphics card in the world, the AMD Radeon HD 6990.

Now available in India, it is designed for the power gamer, AMD Radeon HD 6990 graphics cards include AMD's second-generation Microsoft DirectX 11-capable architecture, advanced image quality features for the best-looking games, and AMD PowerTune intelligent technology to enable higher clock speeds and faster gaming, a press release stated.

PC security suite

Trend Micro Incorporated, a security firm, released its PC security product Titanium Security 2011, this week in Bangalore. Titanium 2011 transforms the customer experience across a number of key benchmarks, including faster scan times, as well as lower memory and CPU usage, balancing thoroughness with efficiency, a release stated.

New Bangalore facility

Antenna Software has setup up a new facility in the city, and plans to increase its employee base by 30 to 40 per cent in the coming year. The firm currently has offices in Bangalore and Pune.
