TDR has been a cause for major scams in the BBMP.
The Technical Vigilance Cell under Commissioner (TVCC) detected a multi-crore scam pertaining to acquisition of TDR during the acquisition of nearly 9.42 lakh sq ft.
The report uncovered issue of TDR for properties outside BBMP limits, issue of TDR to those land acquisition cases already compensated by BDA and KIADB and multiple issue of TDR in many cases.
The BMTF booked 18 BBMP officials, including four joint commissioners of Mahadevapura, Yelahanka, Bommanahalli and Rajarajeshwarinagar zones, for alleged irregularities.
