Student drowns in well in Rampura

A first-year Degree student drowned in a well on a farm in Rampura, on the outskirts of Bengaluru City, on Sunday.

The deceased, Chandrashekhar, a BA student, had gone for a picnic with his friends. He jumped into the well to swim and drowned.

After his friends raised an alarm for help, villagers rushed. They took out the body and rushed him to the hospital but Chandrashekhar was declared as brought dead.

The Avalahalli police have taken up a case and are waiting for the report from the post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
