Software engineerfatally knocked down

A 23-year-old software engineer was killed on the spot and his brother, residents of Bilekahalli, was injured when a vehicle knocked their motorcycle down on Hosur Road near Sarjapur Junction here on Sunday.

The software engineer was identified as Puneeth Jain. The name of injured was given as Suneeth Jain (27). According to the police, the incident occurred around 12.15 p.m. when they were on their way to their friend’s house in Madiwala.

The vehicle knocked them down near the check-post and sped away.

Puneeth Jain, who was riding pillion, died on the spot, the police said.

The Madiwala police have registered a case.
