Snakes in Vidhana Soudha, Raj Bhavan

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMP) wildlife rescue team caught two snakes – one each from Vidhana Soudha and Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Following a call from the Vidhana Soudha staff, the team rescued the 4.5 ft rat snake from the Marshals’ room on the second floor. Another rat snake was rescued from Raj Bhavan. Earlier, Mayor B.S. Sathyanarayana called the team when he noticed that people had gathered near Binny Mill. The team caught a Russell’s Viper and released it in the wild, said Sharat Babu from the BBMP’s wildlife team.
