Six officials raided by Lokayukta

Lokayukta sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids across the State on the residences and offices of six government officials, and recovered disproportionate assets worth Rs. 8.4 crore from them. Based on credible information, several teams of Lokayukta officials raided 20 spots across the State, including Bengaluru, Bidar, Chamarajanagar, Kalaburagi and Mysuru. The accused are: M.G. Srinivasamurthy, Accounts Superintendent, Bangalore Development Authority; Shashikanth H., Range Forest Officer, Bidar; Karunakar, Health Officer, T.N. Pura, Mysuru; Mohamed Haji, Assistant Executive Engineer, Kalaburagi; D.B Lingaiah, Planning Director, Urban Development Department, Mysuru; and S. Parvathamma, officer manager, Mysuru City Corporation. The have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
