The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing allegations into corruption in the Lokayukta claims to have unearthed crucial incriminating evidence against all the people involved in the alleged scam.

The SIT made this claim in the Lokayukta Special Court on Monday when police custody of prime accused Ashok Kumar ended. Ashok Kumar has now been remanded in judicial custody. In its remand application, the SIT claimed to have recovered a diary with a list of names of engineers in various departments from the house of Shankare Gowda, one of the alleged touts who was arrested. The SIT is now probing whether these officials were blackmailed.

They also claimed to have recovered the recording of a telephone conversation between Ashok Kumar and Syed Riyaz, former PRO, Lokayukta, which they claimed contains incriminating evidence against the duo.
