Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called on Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala in Bengaluru on Friday.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is facing public outrage for not handing over the investigation into D.K. Ravi’s death to the CBI, called on Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on Friday and briefed him about the developments.

“The Governor wanted to know the details of the case and I told him about it, Mr. Siddaramaiah told presspersons. On Thursday, the BJP and JD(S) leaders called on the Governor and submitted a petition seeking a CBI probe. With several Congress leaders, including former State Congress president B. Janardhana Poojary, and legislators demanding a CBI probe, the government is likely to announce its decision in the State Legislative Assembly, which will meet on Monday.

However, the government officially maintained that it would consider the CBI probe only after receiving an interim report from the CID.
