A Sub-Inspector attached to the Chief Minister’s security division was allegedly stabbed to death by his son in the city, police said on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Veerabhadraiah (57).

Police said the man had recently moved out of the police quarters and was staying in a rented room near Navrang theatre, as he was tired of frequent quarrels with his son over some property dispute.

Last night, the 24-year-old barged into the room and picked up an argument over the issue and allegedly stabbed his father.

Efforts are on to trace him, police said.
