Sheep merchant robbed at knifepoint

Two bike-borne men robbed a city-based sheep merchant at knifepoint while he was waiting for a cab in Bagalagunte on Sunday morning.

The victim, Mohammed Rooman, a resident of Soladevanahalli, had gone to Maharastra to buy sheep. But, after he failed to get a good deal, he returned to the city with ₹ 80,000 in cash.

He got down from a bus at Widia factory and was waiting for the cab, when a duo on motorcycle approached him and robbed his at knifepoint before speeding away.

Based on a complaint, the Bagalagunte police have taken up a case of robbery and are investigating.
