A three-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by the husband of day care owner at J.J. Nagar on Thursday.

The incident came to light when the child’s parents noticed her writhing in pain after coming back from the day care centre and took her to the doctors, who confirmed sexual assault.

Based on a complaint, the police arrested the accused identified as Chandrashekhar, along with his wife who was running the day care centre.

The J.J. Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating.

This incident comes on the heels of the sexual assault of a four-year-old girl by a 21-year-old dance teacher at the summer camp in a private school in Kempapura. The Amruthalli police arrested Peter under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and also Murali, the summer camp organizer, for negligence.
