The city police have made elaborate security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national convention from April 2 to 4. Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi told The Hindu that the Prime Minister would stay at Hotel Ashoka, the venue of the convention. Special Protection Group, in charge of the Prime Minister's security, had visited Bengaluru and held several meetings with the city police. Mr. Modi would be address a public rally at the National College grounds at Basavanagudi here on April 3 evening.
