The city police have made elaborate security arrangements as the members of the Kannada film industry are planning to stage a protest on Monday against dubbing of films.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Kamal Pant said that senior police officials held meetings with the film fraternity and discussed protest-related issues.

“We will upgrade security depending on the number of participants,” Mr. Pant added.

A special team of police personnel armed with cameras have been deployed to videograph the protest.

Besides the protest by the film fraternity, the city will witness two other major protests by farmers and workers.
