Schools warned after similar incident in Sept.

April 08, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

In September 2014, a 10-year-old boy died after he fell into the sump in Bidarahalli Government Primary School.

It was alleged that the boy was electrocuted when he went to fetch water from the sump, after being directed by a teacher to do so.

After this incident, schools had been directed to ensure that children were not allowed near sumps within school premises.

BEO South-4 S.M. Ramesh said that he would file a report on the incident to the Deputy Director of Public Instruction, based on which action would be taken.
