SBI staff protest closure of administrative offices

September 03, 2010 12:04 pm | Updated 12:04 pm IST - BANGALORE:

As part of the nationwide demonstration by the officers and staff of the State Bank of India (SBI), the bank employees staged a demonstration on Wednesday in front of the SBI local head office on St. Mark's Road here.

Opposing the unilateral decision of the management to wind up administrative offices at erstwhile module level and recovery of penalty for errors in opening housing loan accounts from officers and workmen directly, the bank employees staged demonstrations in front of the local head offices of SBI.

All India State Bank Officers' Federation president T.N. Goel, general secretary G.D. Nadaf and general secretary of the SBI Officers' Association (K) G. Muthuswamy addressed the demonstrators.

They said agitations would be intensified.
