A day after The Hindu reported about lack of safety measures at a railway crossing below the Hebbal flyover and files pertaining to Thanisandra Railway Station going missing, Railway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda promised to solve the issues at the earliest.

The Minister told The Hindu that both the issues were not brought to his notice until now. He said he will soon hold a meeting with Railway officials. “Lack of pedestrian safety below Hebbal flyover is a serious issue. I will visit the spot and hold consultations with officials on the ways to provide a pedestrian safe pathway,” he said.

When asked about the longstanding demand for a foot over-bridge at the junction, he said even that would be looked into.

The Minister said that he will inquire into the missing documents regarding Thanisandra Railway Station and take suitable action.
