Union Law Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Saturday played the role of a Good Samaritan by attending to an accident victim on Sanjaynagar Main Road in Bengaluru.

Mr. Gowda, who had left his residence in Sanjaynagar for the Bharatiya Janata Party State headquarters in Malleswaram to attend the office-bearers’ meeting, came upon a pillion rider of a two-wheeler lying injured on the road.

He got down from his car and instructed his personnel to administer first aid to the victim using the first-aid kit in his car. Only when the victim felt better did the Minister leave the victim’s side, making sure that he would reach a nearby hospital.

“I helped the victim not as a Minister, but as a human being. But, this act has got publicity just because I am a Minister. I appeal to all citizens to give a helping hand to accident victims,” Mr. Gowda told reporters later.
