Road rage: 2 arrested for assaulting goods vehicle driver

A 35-year-old goods vehicle driver was beaten up in Sampigehalli on Tuesday night.

The victim, Tajammul, was trying to take a turn without using indicators. Two men, identified as Tabrez and Sardar, who were in another vehicle, objected.

Heated arguments ensued, following which the duo beat up Tajammul and sped away. A few passers-by took Tajammul to Dr. Ambedkar hospital from where he filed a complaint with the police.

Based on the complaint, the police arrested Tabrez and Sardar on the charges of assault and criminal intimidation. They have been remanded in judicial custody.
