A petition was filed before the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday seeking reservation in tenders.
The petitioner, Gopala Kadumatha, said Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) had called for tenders for allotment of milk parlours in Mangalore city. He said the KMF wanted to construct ten milk parlours in Mangalore.
Mr. Kadumatha said though there is a Government order on reservation, it has so far not been implemented in tenders. He has urged the court to direct the State to implement reservation policy in calling for tenders too so that the underprivileged too would get an opportunity to participate.
Stayed
Justice Jawed Rahim, in an interim order, stayed further proceedings relating to the selection and appointment of Panchayat Development Officers.
The court passed the order on petitions by Prakash and 200 others who had challenged the conduct of the test for the officers, saying that the question papers had been leaked to some candidates.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case.
