Race-course attendant found dead

A 28-year-old race-course attendant was found dead in a storm-water drain under mysterious circumstances inside the race-course in High Grounds on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Jaseem Akhtar, a native of Krishnaganj in Bihar. The police have picked up his associate Sahil Babu (19) on suspicion of his involvement in Jaseem’s death.

Enquiries revealed that the two frequently fought over trivial row. Further investigations are on.
