With second PU exams scheduled to begin on March 9, the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) is leaving no stone unturned to prevent paper leaks. Sources said that senior officials have asked the police to keep an eye on the accused in last year’s chemistry paper leak, some of whom are out on bail.
Last year, the paper was leaked twice. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had framed a charge sheet against 18 people. While the main accused are in jail, eight others are out on bail.
Director General and Inspector General of Police R.K. Dutta said that they have been asked to take preventive measures to prevent a leak.
Praveen Sood, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru said that they are keeping an eye on habitual offenders.
