May 21, 2010 05:56 pm | Updated 05:56 pm IST - BANGALORE:

AirAsia, an international airline service, flew its brand new Airbus A320 aircraft between Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. With this, Bangalore becomes the seventh destination for AirAsia flights in India after Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Tiruchirappalli and Mumbai.

AirAsia is offering fares as low as Rs. 1,537 (taxes extra) to those travelling from Bangalore as part of its recently announced promotional offer of one million free seats. The airline says its network enables people from India to connect to tourism destinations in Malaysia and neighbouring countries.
