The Giri Nagar police have arrested a 30-year-old rowdy-sheeter and found a country-made pistol on him. The accused, Narasimha Reddy, is a resident of Hoskerehalli and is named in 16 cases, including two of murder, registered in various police stations, said the police.

The police were keeping tabs on him. They arrested him on October 10. “During questioning, he blurted out that he had hidden a pistol at a site in Kaggalipura,” said a police officer. The police team found a 7.65 mm country-made pistol along with a live round concealed under a boulder. Reddy has been booked for possession of an illegal firearm under the Fire Arms Act and also for attempt to commit theft.
