Photocopies to be despatched in three days

May 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:59 am IST - BENGALURU:

Following complaints of delay in receiving photocopies of answer scripts, Sushama Godbole, Director of Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) on Wednesday promised to despatch all photocopies in two or three days.

Many students made a beeline for the helpdesk at the department to enquire about the delay. But they did not get any relief as officials only directed them to check the website to see the list of photocopies despatched, said S.V. Bembalagi, a parent who travelled all the way from Bagalkot to check the status of the photocopy that he had applied for his son more than a week ago.

Ms. Godbole attributed the delay of receiving photocopies in districts other than Bengaluru to the time taken for them to reach the respective treasuries.

The DPUE said it had despatched 15,679 photocopies of answer scripts and it had received 45,959 requisitions.

Ms. Godbole said 59 of the 147 results withheld were cleared as of Tuesday.
