For the past one month, residents of Rajarajeshwari Nagar have been facing a strange problem. Between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., a Peeping Tom has been gazing through bedroom and wash room widows, leading to embarrassing moments for residents.

After a series of such incidents in and around R.R. Nagar, one of the victims uploaded a CCTV grab of the culprit along with a warning to women to be careful. The victim also filed a complaint with the R.R. Nagar police. The police have stepped up vigil on the night beat.

In her post, the victim mentioned that she noticed the culprit and raised an alarm. Her family members tried catch him, but he managed to escape.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West division) Anucheth confirmed that the police have obtained CCTV footage of the suspect and are trying to track him down.

Earlier this year, a somewhat similar situation prevailed among residents of Timber Yard Layout and its neighbourhood on Mysuru Road. They were baffled by the theft of undergarments put on clotheslines on terraces and balconies. The thief did not touch the other garments. Residents filed a police complaint and also decided to install CCTV cameras.
