A 24-year-old paper boy was thrashed by the public after he was caught filming a woman while she was bathing in her apartment in Vidyaranyapuram on Monday.
The accused, identified as Prabhu, a resident of Thindlu, was caught by a few residents of the apartment and tied to a pole and thrashed before he was handed over to the police.
Prabhu is said to have climbed up the parapet wall of the apartment and filmed the woman through the space between the blades of the exhaust fan in the bathroom. However, his phone accidentally touched the fan, and on hearing the noise, the woman raised an alarm.
