Officials at the Air Intelligence Unit of Customs arrested a businessman from Mumbai at Kempegowda International Airport for allegedly trying to conceal € 12,000 in his rectum, and smuggling out cash amounting to lakhs in his baggage.
The accused Manojkumar Brijlal Khemani, 36, had arrived at KIA from Dubai with $21,000 concealed in his check-in baggage, € 12,000 rolled up and concealed in his rectum and 500 AED concealed in his wallet. They estimate the currencies amounted to over ₹22.61 lakh. He has been taken into custody.
